Portable Macerator

Looking to get a portable macerator. Searching the forum I havent found any newer posts regarding anyones install or preference of brand. Looking for
a little advice/input on which brands everyone likes best. Thanks in advance everyone

I don't think there is any real preference. jabasco or flo-jet. pretty simple device really.

I don't get the idea of a portable one, when a permanent one is not that hard to install. storage is limited, and I like my macerator tucked up and
away underneath.

They are available through us.
However a GMC is different than the SOB type, so call me and I will discuss.

I won one at Bean Station. Has a bayonet fitting and is self cleaning. Don't remember the brand
but is available at (hate to say it) Camping World. Works great.

But truthfully, if I'm camped for more than a couple of days I still prefer to use the old hose.

Jim,

Maybe you should look at mine (slightly modified). I never have to lay on the ground. The only thing that is tough is reaching the tank valve and
that is just because I don't bend that well these days. I'm not about to take that valve away.

Scott that’s something that I think I’d like to get. I also prefer the use of OEM sewer pipe. Although traveling around the country there were several occasions that dumping uphill or over a storm drain style dump site was necessary. Matt I’ll have to take a look at your setup and see if sways me differently. Thank you for you responses. Thank you Jim. When Im ready to purchase I’ll give the shop a call. Thank you.

to solve Matt's problem, they make electric valve pullers that will bolt on to your current valve and pull it open and push it closed.
My current coach has 2, one on each tank. Works like a champ.

Matt, Manufacturer is barker, www.barkermfg.com. I picked this one up as a Camping World closeout. Their Auto-Drain is made for 1 1/2" #24140, and 3"
#24130. It attaches to your current valve (2 bolts) and has a remote switch for installation at your convenient spot.
The box indicates Valterra/Bristol models. I do not think a Thetford valve would be a obstacle.
Check their web site.
I had to replace a drain valve on the black tank. Tiny bits of TP had gotten behind the sliding portion of the valve and then became hardened paper
machie (sp?). This was an afternoon job because the plumbing had been assembled and glued in place, without thought of ever replacing any of it.

Tom,

Thanks, I'm interested, but at the going price on Ebay, it will have to wait a while. It would take some cleave adaptation to mount it on a Therford
valve.

There was one of those clip - ons in the stuff we got donated from Jimmy's old Pumpkin that didn't sell on eBay/Craigslist. I don't remember if it
sold at the flea market or not, I'll look sometime in the near future. Current coach has a Jabsco installed, and I didn't like the idea of busting
the ears on the outlet pipe so I never used it. I dunno it works or not. If I find it I'll try it. I have a sewer hose for extended stays.
