As for port vs starboard, I take the historical approach.
That was a great one Rick. I've spent 26 years in the Navy & never
knew the history. Being a twidget I always had trouble remembering
which side was which color. Solved it all by being stationed in Vallejo
near Napa wine country. Port wine is red!
I have wished since that vehicles, like ships, had Port & Starboard
locations.
