Salutations:
Mr Staples - alert your estate (perhaps as a footnote in the will) that I will buy the whole lot anytime you and yours are done with it.. I -LUV- the older editions (did you ever see the bit about making butter in your washing machine?) as they are absolutely full of pretty good tips and tricks for fix-ups and neato-keen projects..
BTW - if you read a little deeper into the Aug '73 edition - you'll see this totally kuel article on 'ROVAC' non-feon based air conditioner unit.. It uses a vanes compressor and a heat exchanger.. Been looking at that closely and eyeing the DOA roof air wondering about how to dump it and set up ROVAC under the floor..
RE: Scanning - Don't bother (old POP SCI is newsprint and scans REALLY badly - besides you'l bust the bindings) however, I've set up my portable so I can dictate stuff into it and I'll read the article in over the weekend.. Post it here unless someone objects..
