Points to HEI

Hi!

I am going to attempt something here tomorrow. my 73 GMC has the old
points style distributor. i have a HEI unit from a 455 tornado. I know that
I can't use the wire going to the coil on the point setup, and I need to
know if anyone has ever done this, and what they connected to, and how big
of an improvement it was.
Secondly, I have a quadrajet from the same car, and it looks the same
with the exception of the fact that it has a sole electric choke. how is
that wired?
Any input is appreciated!

Manny and I did this to his GMC but he got it curved before we installed.
