It is important that when you perform the plug gap it is done
correctly. Straight etc.,. Jacob's makes an inexpensive tool for this
purpose and it might be worth checking it out. Also, prior to removing
the plug, clean the area real good soft paint brush., Remove the plug,
runner a thread chaser over the threads to clean up the carbon. Re gap
with the proper tool, check the gap with the feeler gauge. A little
bees wax on the threads reinstall and a little tight to stop any blow
by. Silicone on the boot and replace the boot to the ceramic stem. In
about 5,000 to 6,000 miles repeat and this time replace your plugs.
They will look fine and they might even work in a car. You are not in a
car. If you go up and down any hills you need this change very much.

I go even further by taking an air gun with a small diameter extender on the
nozzle, stick it down the recess in the block surrounding the plug and BLOW
THE LIVIN' HELL OUT OF IT with 100 PSI shop air, using a circular motion to
get ALL the potentially piston/ring/cylinder wall damaging crud out of there
BEFORE I even get the plug wrench out of the toolbox.

beeswax HAS to be one of the most versatile, natural non-toxic lubricants
known to man. I use it for EVERYTHING (well -- ALMOST everything) :-)
