Platinum Fuel Saver

Please don't misunderstand my earlier post.

I am not suggesting that I believe the claims
and rushed out to buy shares in the company.
Nothing could be further from the truth.

However, in the past, on occasion, there has
been found to be a sliver of truth to the claims
made by these sellers of magic pills
that when properly applied can permit some
gains to be made.

Some of these gizmo's do help under certain
circumstances and usually they make whatever
small gains they do based on a very simple
process hidden behind hype.

For example water injection has proven, in some
cases, to be helpful. I myself ran water injection
on an RV motor (10 1/2 compression 454) that I ran
successfully on regular fuel (with excellent power
and fuel economy) for many years.

The reason for my post was to ask if their was anyone
on board with the appropriate background who might
comment regarding whether or not their might be some
sliver of truth to the theories that are being expressed
regarding platinum. After all platinum is part of a pretty
amazing process in the catalytic converter.

I had purchased a platinum fuel saver ,For my minivan ,And at first
had noticed no real change,But after 2000 miles I noticed that my
mileage had increased .
On just about any given trip I would get an average 18 or 19 miles to
a gallon ,And after I would get on average 23 to 24. Sometimes higher
but didnt uasally go low.
I have purchased an other ot install on the GMC, But want to get all
the other bugs worked out first ,And you know how long that could
take.!!!
Im installing it this fall weather I am ready for it or not, But I do
park the GMC for the winter so ,It may take me awhile to say if it
helps or not.

This is only what happened for me and wouldnt even want to guess what
it would do with the GMC , But very intersted to see the results of it.

For what it's worth, my neighbor who is the original
owner of a '73 23' Canyon Lands (we call it the Great
Pumpkin) installed water injection in it about 20 years
ago and swears by it. He claims better fuel economy
and the engine never knocks. How he can remember what
his fuel economy was 20 years ago is beyond me. I'm
not really sure it does him any good other then making
him feel better. He has a spare water injection kit that he
wants to give me to put in my coach. I'm not so sure.
