Greetings!

In case anyone is interested, I've redone my
Web page to accomodate a little easier
navigating to my GMC stuff, including pix taken
of my '73 Glacier (the one I drove home from
New York the week before Labor Day).

URL is:

http://www.pe.net/~tmaki/intermedia.html

Just click on "GMC Stuff" in the nav bar on the
left.

Enjoy and feel free to comment. And if you have
knowledge about some of the sources for a few
things I have questions about, let me know.

Later!

Scott,

Thanks, and nah, I slug it out the hard way --
type in all the HTML code in either a text editor
or a program like Pete Goodwin's freeware
HTML Editor. It's got a tool bar with HTML tags
that can be inserted, but I rarely use them. I
learned HTML code before the slick editors
came out, and am just as comfortable banging
it out on the keyboard as I am dragging it
around with a mouse, although keeping up with
the new tags and Java scripting takes more
time than I think its worth. (That's partly why you
don't see any nifty animations or "cool" things
on my pages.) If you view my code, you'll see
that its pretty basic. Just enough to get the job
done. I guess I could say "Real men don't use a
WYSIWYG editor", but you can bet I don't write
PostScript code by hand when I can use
PageMaker 6.5.

His project actually inspired me to go ahead
and do this. In my list of priorities, assuring that
things are safe is on the top, and LPG, brakes,
steering, tires, and electrical (in that order) are
the subset of priority 1.

One of the guys in our Product Development
shop suggested I go with an aluminum
compartment liner. If I can get them to fab one
for me, I may go ahead and do that, as well as
put in the new wood and insulation.

Thanks again, and I'll describe the progress and
post more pix as I go.
