I will check all the suspension for wear but pay special attention to
the pitman arm.

Maybe I missed something here. What are we looking for on the pitman
arm that needs special attention? Chuck W.
 
Hello Chuck.
What Steve is referring to is called the "relay lever" on our units as
found on section 9 Steering, page 1 in the GMC maint. manual. Just
another name for the same part.

Whoops I goofed.
The Pitman arm is the connecting arm from the gearbox, to the rest of the
steering, and should be checked for wear like any other steering
component. What I had on my mind was checking the pivot point on the
relay lever, which could also be worn in the same fashion. Same page in
maint. manual.
