Parking brakes

My '78 Center Kitchen Royale includes a lenier actuator that pulls the cables to the rear rear drums only. The coach cannot overcome it.

It was developed and installed by the very innovative Charlie Toole (dec) of Charlston, SC.

I’ve wondered about electrical emergency parking brake. My 2019 Hyundai Sante Fe has some sort of electrical parking brake, could that be used on our GMC’s?
Read here for info about electric parking brakes for the GMC.

And here for the installation:

No doubt it is similar to the one bdub has installed. Even with a parking brake handle extension and replacing the wire guides with pulleys it's difficult to engage the factory parking brake.

Read the instructions at estopp.com. I wouldn't call it an emergency brake if the blue "safety" wire is hooked up to the ignition as instructed. This actually prevents the "emergency" brake from engaging when the ignition is on. It is optional to connect the blue wire but the instructions caution "at your own risk". I recall some threads in the old forum that discussed electrically actuated parking brakes.
