parking brake route

hello all i am trying to get a working parking brake set up on my coach ex Booby Moores. Bobby removed everything by the looks.
i have replaced the rear discs with a set of drums
and i am going to leave the discs on the middle axle and just use the parking brake on the rear axle
Rob m has sourced a front cable and lever for me and i need to get an intermediate cable manufactured here in Australia
as i do not have any reference to go by can someone post pictures or a diagram of the front cable routing and bracket attachments

Wouldn't it be simpler to keep Bobby's electric actuator & cables -- what's
wrong with that?

G'day,

I sent Trevor 19 photographs I took of the underside of The Blue Streak showing how the handbrake cables were routed. I had it up on
a lift and he should be able to figure out how to route them.

hi Ken
most of bobbys stuff had been removed i assume by the intermediat owner
when i got the coach it had standard disc calipers on all 4 rear wheels
all cables are missing
i swapped a set of discs off of the rear axle for a set of drums with peter bailey in adelaide
as this seemed the easiest way to go
rob M got me a lever and front cable
i am now trying to piece it together

Trevor,
Do not use the original cable system (cable sliding through 'U' shape steel ala Holden HT-HG). Make your system using pulleys, I used similar pulleys
to what is found on cable brakes of trailers and caravans. Yours will be much easier as you don't need pulleys at the bogie end as you are breaking on
one axle only.

hi peter
i was planing on using pulleys the previous owner had at one time set up an electric actuator using a seat motor
i doubt if i used this i could get it passed through a roadworthy so this is why i want to go the original equipment as much as possible.
but i am sure pullys will be acceptable.
the PO has placed some pulleys on the outside of the rails at the front where the cables go thru them i hope to retain these but they are homemade and
may not be suitable as they may not have a big enough lip.
if these dont work i will source some from the local trailer supply people

Too bad you missed out on Bobby's brake actuator. It was pretty neat, and
effective, using a power seat actuator as a linear actuator to tighten the
cable at the center of the cross-coach cable. Could be that normally
"indoor" motor/gear didn't survive well under the coach though.
