JR:
You should find that the cabinets are secured to the ceiling with screws
that are run up through the interior of the top rail of the face frame of
the cabinet. Open the cabinet doors and look up inside to see.
On the back side, there is a one by board that is secured at a right angle
to the back of the cabinet near its top. It rests on top of a corresponding
piece that is secured to the side wall of the coach.
I suspect that the board on the side wall is bent downward enough to cause
your gap. To fix, remove the cabinet, remove and resecure the board along
the wall with new screws, and rehang the cabinet.

Netters,
I now have a 78 Royale; the overhead cabinet above the dinette is loose,
hanging about an inch away from the wall, but firm against the ceiling. I
haven't figured out how it is attached. Are the attachments under the false
ceiling in the top of the cabinet; if so, how does that come out? Don't
want to destroy anything just yet. Any help/info would be appreciated.
