All,

I have original 16.5 inch wheel and new tires, hats off to the tire discussion...Anyway I have a chrome center cap and chrome lug nuts that look nice
but have seen better days. Does anyone have any modern chrome or stainless caps and nuts that they are really in love with, I'd like to find a
replacement for mine. I see that Applied has some SS. Center Cap with GMC logo for American Eagle Wheels. Would these fit factory wheels? I do love
the factory hub cap look and I do have 4 original caps but for the life of me I can't get the darn things on and even if I did I cant imaging getting
them off in a time of need. It seems like the wheel balance weights may be the problem but I tried on the spare as well with no better luck. I am
relatively new to this forum so If I should have added this as a topic discussion under another title please let me know that as well.

Thanks for all the great advice.

Assuming you are NOT using the GMC 16.5 full wheel cover. The center chrome dust cap is part of the hub not the wheel. I believe Applied has new ones.
You want to use the GMC lugs that are flaired (but do not have the captive rotating washers) for steel wheels. Most bigger truck stops will have
plastic chrome or thin metal press on dress up caps. Sounds like this is what you are trying to achieve from your post.

Rich,
Since the bolt pattern is the same, it will work on your wheels.
