Opening for stove exterior vent cover

Does anyone have the vent out of the side of their GMC and can measure the size of the opening?
If you do this for me please also tell me what the year of the GMC is because they might vary a little and the Royale might also be a little different.

I am trying to come up with another electric operated vent. I stopped making them a few years back as the manufacturer of the solenoid discontinued it.
I have had several recent requests for the vent that automatically opens when turning on the stove fan.

Emory, The stock GM OEM vent hole (ragusa replacement) is 3.25 x 10.

How about 2-7/8 X 9-3/8?

This is the size of the piece of coach skin that was cut out to put the galley vent in (as near as I can tell) when when Gemini was do it fit out. It
has been in our silver drawer for the last 44 years. It even has residual foam on one side and the Glacier blue on the other.

That sounds about right. I'm putting a good in mine - it had the opening and outside hood, but no way to close it. It was hidden in the microwave
cabinet. I'm going to use some 2x10 duct from the range hood to the opening. Simple flap on the outside hinged at the top, the air flow will open
it.

Yes, the air flow will open it but so will the wind. Especially when a truck passes you. You'll also likely get rain down inside the wall. You should have a latch to keep it closed or a spring on it to pull it closed.

Yes, that's why I put one of Emery's solenoid operated vents on my coach. Got tired of looking in my left rearview and seeing the old one flapping in
the breeze.

Charles Wood had that leakage problem and the water ruined the cabinet over the stove and sink.

I took out the original galley vent/light system when I reinforced the cabinet so I could hang the microwave from it. I replaced the fan with 3
computer fans that move more air with less power and a just a bag quieter. If Mary were into frying, I might worry about the fouling of the fan
blades, but there has been none.

I still would like a powered vent closer because what id the does allow cold air in if it does not have the foam plug in place.

My experience has been with the flap on the outside, wind doesn't bother it under the little metal canopy.
