Only $26 ? The Cummins/Onan dealer here (eastern Canada) wanted $54 and a FEW
weeks to get it! I did a lot of searching and came up with this: CarQuest #
87722 .
It is shorter but the same diameter. I carefully cut the bottom off the
original filter and
shortened the threaded rod by the appropriate length. It has worked well for
me.
I forget the price but $54 worth of these will last me and my onan well past
retirement.
( a very long time )

Someone once suggested I wrap thick foam around the filter as a
way to prolong it's life. Remove foam regularly and save the
"expensive" one from getting dirty. After blowing it out, re-install.

Re: Friday. I may or may not be home(may ignite the Travelin'
Bear for a little work out). If I am, cold ones are available. If I'm
not, try me on the way back.
Problems in the Antigonish area...Henry's Esso in Lower South
River.....
See ya

Mike,

Thanks for the invitation. I plan to pick up friends in Amherst around 5:30pm and be
in
Sydney by midnight so we probably won't be making too many stops(I hope).
If the ground quakes and the windows rattle sometime that evening don't be alarmed,
it's just a Palm Beach at speed ! Just had carb rebuilt and installed full 3"
exhaust with
a single FloPro muffler at rear. It's a bit loud, but boy does it work (g). Maybe a
contender for the LSR (vbg).
Anyway I will try you on the way back through.

may have to let some air out of the rear to keep that baby on the ground at
speed. Way to go.
