About five percent of the time when I start the Onan the starter will stay engaged. If i pull connector on the solenoid the starter shuts off and if I
re connect the wire the starter doesn't start again. I have a new dino board and new Onan starter relay from Jim K. I think that I must have a high
resistance connection somewhere. I have cleaned the multi pin connector where the board hooks up to the Onan wiring harness. and the connection at the
disconnected voltage regulator. when I meter across the connector on # 8 and # 11 I get .1 ohm with a Fluke meter. are there any other connectors
between the flywheel alt and the 8-11 pins on the board? any other ideas ?
It was doing the same thing before I replaced the board and the K1 relay but much more frequently. I bought a door bell transformer but I would love
to keep it stock. HELP its driving me crazy.
