Don't overlook the obvious - is the 50 amp shore power cable plugged into
the coach receptacle?

Is this with the Hard power as well as the Onan Generator? If this is
the case you may have a bad switch in the switching system. Don't open
it and start jiggling things around while you are hooked up or the
generator is running it could prove to be fatal. But you could check
continuity to see if the switch is working properly. Chuck

The start button quit working on the generator the other day for no
apparent reason. I figured it was something stupid since I didn't know
anything about it except that it's suppose to start with that button.
Well, I just went out found it wasn't getting any gas at all. So I started
tracing out the line and, lo and behold, it went straight to the propane
tank!

Hmmm, ok. So I turned on the propane and it works like a charm. But after
a while, it just died for no apparent reason. Now, it seems like I was
told by someone to only run the genset when it had a load on it. I managed
to get it cranked back up after a while and it was coughing so I turned on
both the roof air conditioners and the fridge on 110. It's been running
for about 30 minutes now without even a shimmy. Could someone explain this
to me?

I figured it would take a while to charge up the house battery since it was
completely discharged and wouldn't crank the genset. Wouldn't that be
enough of a load for it?

Thanks

I didn't turn on anything till it started and then sounded like it was
gonna die again.

This one ran smooth as silk for about 20 minutes, then sputtered and died.

Nope, it was good and warm by then.

Thanks Emory

I think if one were to check out the Onan guarantee it requires the genset to be
operated a minimum of one hour per month.

I hate to be disagreeable but running no load is not recommended.
