There is a commercial product that eliminates the oxidation and corrosion of
terminals, plugs and electrical connections. I have a tube in my shop and
when I go there later today will get the name and mfr. It works!
>My generator has been down several times due to corrosion of various
>terminals and connectors. Since I was a kid I've always kept a jar of
>vaseline in the shop. Whenever I do electrical work I apply it to connectors
>or any other exposed copper as I assemble things. It seems to work wonders
>on minimizing future problems.

>I keep thinking that there may be a commercial product which would be nicer
>to use but the vaseline works well enough that I've never bothered to look
>for something better. It's greasiness is it's only drawback that I know of.
