I plan on adding the priming button to my 4kw Onan on my 73 Sequoia. I have a
copy of Jim Bounds article and have also visited
Gene's site. My wire colors and switch connections do not match either place.
One tip was to start the Onan and see which terminal on the start/stop switch
has 12V. Well, two terminals have 12 v. Do I attach to the terminal when I
apply 12V (w/o Onan running) lights up the
switch? I do plan on adding the diode.

Hi

If you look at the picture on my page and you have a hour meter, you will
see the 12 volt wire goes to the hour meter. That is the one to use. If
you this does not work , you should be able to use the position of the wire
on the switch to indicate the correct wire.

we can do this. let me know how you are doing.

The first thing you need is to find twelve volts, does not matter
which one of the terminals it is. Then find the one that has twelve
volts when the generator is running. That's the two wires you need.
Duane Simmons is the real expert, and I am following what I did to
help some folks with their kits.
