"Does anyone know where I can get Onan parts
and have them shipped to me? I really have a
difficult time getting away from work. I need to
buy a coil, points and condenser."
Although I frequent my local Onan dealership
due to it's proximity to my work, I had good
success with Factory Small Engine repair.
They have access to Onan parts and were
even able to get the carb kit from the carb
manufacturer. It had been deemed obsolete
by Onan.
They are at:

Tel (780) 438 - 1818
Fax (780) 437 - 3475

They are way up here in Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada, I don't know where you are at or if they
are keen on sending parts from Canada back
to the States.
As for the points, I am sure Factory Small Engine
can get them for you but I changed to the electronic
ignition and would certainly recommend it.
(I think the info is on Gene's site)
The condenser I got from my local NAPA.
Although my coil was still working, I wanted more
spark and replaced it with 2 coils made for old
GM's (pre-HEI)
With a little grinding of the mount to aaccommodate
the larger diameter one fit in the stock position.
The second I mounted to the rear of the 1st in a
Honda Prelude mount.
Soldered up some leads to connect
+ with the + and the - with the -
With the above I now have lots of spark.
I don't think I need to gap the plugs to .025
anymore. That to me was a sign that Onan didn't
trust their own coil to make much spark.
Good luck.
