This is an old Harley Davidson Trick. Clean the area as best you can and
spray with Arid Extra Dry under arm deodorant. The chemicals will draw the
residual oil to the surface where it will show. If there is a crack or oil
leaking around a bolt you will see it. Worth a try.

Rob & Duane,
Thanks for the tips. I'll work on it this weekend.
BTW, I told Jim Bounds I'd post the tool I used to install the rubber
window trim. The small stuff is a real pain but I used a GM (circa
68-78) windshield stainless trim "clip" tool. Has a raised handle that
enables you to press the curved ends flat up against the glass in order
to get that small bead to slip over the inside channel. Works pretty
good.
I also told Jim I'd post the air tank check valve I'm using. Granger
P/N 4X828, $14.13. Cracks at about 2-3 PSI & holds up to 450 It's
only about an inch long so it takes up less room than the original and
it also has 3/8 male pipe threads on one end & 3/8 female on the other.
I used a mini filter/dryer that comes with the same fittings, easy to
mount with a glass sight bowl & drain valve, Grainger 2Z763, $32.95. My
original compressor airs up the tank in 4 minutes now but still has a
**# leak somewhere.
