Onan oil lead

Duane,
Thanks for your input. I did replace the gasket between the oil filter
adapter block & the engine mounting strap. The adapter was considerably
warped & a little time on a belt sander took care of that.
Unfortunately, so was the engine mounting strap & 10 minutes into
testing the new gasket it blew out. This setup is a real "pile". I
pulled everything out & trued both sides of the engine mounting strap,
made a couple of gaskets & put the whole mess together again with a
small amount of gasket sealer. No more leaks!
Between the lower nut on the oil filter adapter & installling/gapping
the points, I don't know which should get the Onan award for
"inaccessability". Somewhere there is an aging engineer enjoying a good
snicker at my expense. Nuff whining, thanks again to all the responses.
