I remember rodny dangerfield... in a movie, he told the graduating
class I only have two things to say. Always look out for number one,
and don't step on number two.

Well here it goes on short notice.

We are going to have an Onan Mini Rally at John Bush's home in Sonol ,
Ca. We are going to install the electronic ignition kits the Mr.C was
able to purchase for us. Since this is short notice, if you cannot make it
, we might do it again some time in the future. We will probably also do
all or some of the following Simmons Onan upgrades while we are at
it. Remember to bring your own parts..... We will not have extra parts there.

If you let me know in time, I will bring the parts for the Primer
Button. The map to John's place is here:

He has offered parking for sleep-overs if you are interested. We hope to
do the following up grades if you have the parts. Your Onan should be
already running and working since we don't want to make modifications that
we cannot test..

Electronic Ignition install
Set timing
Set voltage / cycles
Remove Onan battery charger wires
Clean fuel filter
Replace Air filter
Change Oil (Bring own oil, filter,and containers)
Check Starter Brackets
Check rubber mountings
Change spark plugs
Install Primer button
Remove / check fuel shut off solenoid

I don't think we can get to the fuel line and connector replacement. But
we will discuss these upgrades.

Hi Gene

I've got my Onan running and have the electronic ignition sitting here on
my desk. I'll try to do it here at home Saturday morning and will holler
if I need help or when I get through. Wish I could be there with you
guys. Sounds like fun!

Read Emery's stuff on the web page, be sure and file that little edge,
that is a fooler.
I am sure by doing it at the same time as us, the cosmic energy will make

Yep I plan to add to your great pictures of the black tank. We will see
how this goes. not looking forward to doing this project but
what-the-hey any GMC project is a good project.

OK, guys and gals. Can't we find another name for the "black" tank. It
really is degrading to me. {:>) Could we just name it the #2 tank instead?

My ego suffers every time ya'll mention the tank named after me.

How about the Brown Tank. But I guess that won't work because that may

It worked! That cosmic energy stuff really works and the force was with me
too. I got the EIK installed and everything's working fine.

How'd the mini rally go?
