OKAY... had a free lunch and met with the Onan Cummins people. Emery and I
went and ate their food and had a good time looking at their new facilities
here in Albuq. Seems they will be able to work on our coaches mechanical
- --ie engines, trans, onan's etc. Not dump tanks, macerators etc.

Now for those 9 to 10 people who wanted the onan igntions, here is what I
found. They will sell it to us wholesale, which turns out to be around
$120 plus postage. The onan rep we talked to said the electronic ignition
are now going for $133 plus tax. Also, they said they would give us oil
filters at wholesale ($7 plus tax) if we bought 10 or so. Thus, what is
your pleasure.

If you want the onan ignition and/or the oil filter let me know - don't
know the shipping. If I get enough orders I will go down and find out the
shipping etc. I think we can ship the ignitions with the $3.20 postage
cost, but don't know if the filter will fit in the same box. Then, those
who want one can send me their money and I will go and buy - and then ship.
I suggest we invest a little more in shipping for insurance as we are
talking about over $120.

If I do not get 10 or more, then they wont sell them at wholesale.

Hi guys;

Thanks for looking into this. I guess I will take advantage of this since
you have gotten what looks like a 9.77% discount (16% discount if you
include 6% sales tax which I am assuming they are saying they will not
charge at the wholesale level). I had been planning to pull the onan ( I
even hate the name) and replace it with a Generac a la Heinz and was sitting
on the sidelines on this not wanting to put any more $ in it. I guess all
things have a particle of risk and I know I will kick myself if the darn
thing dies soon after this, but what can you do.

I am not too certain about the Onan factory filter however. Is there any
advantage to these over one of the generic brands like Purolator?

Will the dealer do the DVD so you guys don't have to get involved with
collecting money and getting these things sent out?

Emery had lots of beef, potato salad, beans, cole slaw, and bread for
sandwich. I had same except for beef.

I'm in for a couple filters.

Any chance they'd do us a deal on air filters. I'd take a couple of those too.

I'd love to upgrade the ignition, but not sure who I could get to put it
in, so that one will have to wait.

I'll take 2 Ignition sets please. One is for my Onan Genset and one for
my 20 HP Onan powered garden tractor. The garden tractor has top
adjustable points like the genset and is almost the same vintage as my
GMC.
