You might try Alex Sirum at 941-763-1121 as he has several sitting around
his shop.

Also, you might try another Onan dealer - I called two before finding that
there was one
only 3 miles from me. He had better prices that what the others had quote -
yet all parts
are Onan. His shop rate was also $10 less/hr. Onan parts are not cheap, but
I did find shopping
helped a little.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your original email about the choke. I
fully disassembled my choke and was able to make it work. I had a grounding
problem, and to be honest with you I can't quite remember all of the details.
I will look at the choke this weekend and let you know what I did. I'm sure
your mechanic has already checked to be sure your getting 12v to the choke coil
when the starter is engaged. (That would be too easy)

I'm looking for a source for a 1-1/2" SS band type vs. u-bolt type clamp
to secure the exhaust pipe extension on subject item.

Can someone give me any leads on locating?

I found the stainless steel clamps at my local truck repair garage Marshall
and Houseman, sherrill NY. Also found them the next day at at allied Spring
in syracuse NY. About $5.95 for 2" one. You should find them at any
facility that repairs or has parts for trucks.

Paul,

I thought for a minute, because I remember seeing that same type of
clamp somewhere before. Then I remembered. Aircraft engine exhaust
stack clamp. They're stainless.

Paul I have found the stainless steel muffler bands at 2 different places
this week. Sizes ranged from 2" to 6". They appear to be standard items at
truck servicing garages. This afternoon I will get the name and part number
for them. the garage is just around the corner.

My coach engine exhaust pipe is 3". However, if you look at the
'Subject" line, I'm looking for a 1-1/2" band clamp for the Onan
exhaust.

We are the owners of a 1976 Eleganza II. We are having a problem with
varied voltage from the generator and was wondering if anyone else had
this problem. Also, the generator will not start by the inside switch.
We have a friend with the same problem except that his will start from
the inside switch once in the morning and then not again. We would
enjoy the luxury of flipping the switch and having it start, does
anyone have any advice. Further, our water tank has a crack around
the gauge, what is the best method of repairing these water tanks.
And while I'm at it, we are considing painting our coach over the next
winter. It is now a beige with a lighter brown stripe. Does anyone
have any advice re decal stripe or painted stripe, also we would like
some information on paint schemes. Talk about getting your knickle's
worth! We thank you for the great information we've been reading via
this network. I don't there are many coaches in Nova Scotia, Canada
but would love to hear from anyone out there.
