Has anyone any experience with having a 6KW Onan Power Drawer replaced. I'm
ready to quit screwing with this one. Is there fabrication involved. If so,
does that mean that I can't get most places (Like Camping World) to replace
it? Any input is appreciated.

Thanks to all who replied on "A Toad" I was able to make a good deal on a
Jeep that I liked and I found a Brake Buddy here locally in Dallas.

You have to get custom made slide assemblies. This is one of the things I am
working on but won't have a test case for a couple of months. No one makes a
bolt on replacement which can carry the weight.. Darren

I believe it was Henderson that replaced his with an Onan Emerald 6KW
installed in the Powerdrawer tray and frame itself, just modified the
frame to mount the new unit. I saw his unit at Jim Bounds place when
we picked ours up in Dec.

I used the Onan Emerald 4KW to replace ours, except I mounted it
longways
on a tray in the Gen compartment.

Thought I might add that at almost 600 hours on the GenSet I'm still a happy
camper with ample electricity at acceptable sound levels ;-)

Stupid question, but what problems are you having with the old one? I may
be interested in it as a parts unit . . .
