Richard, I had the same problem. It turned out to be my board. I am
certainly no expert on the Onan but, if you take the cover off the circuit
board, you will see two white relays. One is the a fuel relay (I believe it
is the top one) You can push the relay and listen for the electric fuel pump
to run. I found that if I pushed the fuel relay while starting the
generator, it would continue working after I let go of the button. I did
this for a year. The problem was that I could not start the generator from
inside the coach. I finally I pulled the board off and found that the
silicon rectifer was burnt. I bypassed the relay and my generator runs
great now. I bought a general purpose silicone rectifier from Radio Shack,
but have not replaced the old one yet. I wonder if the old addage, if it
ain't broke, don't fix it applies here?
