After returning from a Myrtle Beach Pelican game in Myrtle Beach with
thirteen active fan inside the onan starting sputering
and starts to shut off. - I cut off the ac and shut down onan. Checked
gas and had half a tank left in main tank. Shouldn't it be able to run
with a lower fuel evel. We were sitting in the parking lot which is
level.

BELIEVE and SUCCEED

Jim,
Check oil, there is a shut down if you are low. The sender could also be
bad, find it and disconnect to see if trouble clears. Carb. may need adj.,
shacling around will get it out.

Call if I can help further,

Jim Bounds

This is about right if you are setting on level ground. But the fuel tanks
are vary shallow and that number can vary a lot if you are not level,
especially from side to side. The fuel pickup is on the left so if you are
tilted to the right, thats where the fuel will be, out of reach of the Onan
pick-up tube.

Something else to check. My fuel gauges are not very linear. When they show
1/2 tank there is only about 18 gallons remaining. That is about 9 per
tank. He may want to check to see how much gas is really left in the tanks
when the gauge shows 1/2 tank.
