Onan Choke

A post was made that a choke from a 1978 Valient could be used as a
replacement. Could some one verify this as I did not save the original post.
 
I found this in my files can't tell when it was posted but wasn't to long
ago.
( a man that fixes gmc's told me that you can use a choke from a 1978
plymouth valient 6cyl for 12 bucks instead of buying it from onan for 200
dollars.

i sent the post about the onan choke using a 78 valient from napa. the one with napa i belive does not have the wire. yo have to solder that on yourself. voltage goes through that wire for about 90 seconds. thats the info that was passed on to me.
