Onan bridge rectifier failed again

Any ideas what could be causing bridge rectifier failure? After the O.E. one
failed a couple of weeks ago I replaced it with the 25 amp 1000 volt one
recommended here. (Actually it was the next beefier one by same mfg., rated 40
amps 1000 volts; nearby electronics store didn't have the other one.)

Anyway, The Onan ran perfectly for 2 hours, and again for one hour a day later
but now no AC output again. Pulled the bridge rectifier and it fails the
electrical checkout tests.

I was even careful to disconnect load before shutting down the Onan. I'm
wondering if I just got a bad rectifier or I have a more serious problem.

Lanier,

I plan to install the new part this afternoon and will let you know, probably
tomorrow.

I just replaced the bridge rectifier and now I have AC output from the Onan
again. I must have had a faulty part, as Duane suggested.
