It was indeed a Rally to remember.

Ron Tase is having a bunch of the deflectors made by a sheet metal shop
where he lives in Florida. He said they were about $25 and he would post
their availability on GMCnet when ready.

The Onan deflector Ron has put together really works! I have installed
several, they are easy to put on and really drops the operating temp. of
the generator. People in Alaska may not need such a trinket but here in
Florida it should be a requirement.

Jim,

Does it work for the 4kw Onan?

Patrick,

I have never checked to see if the ouput is different. If it is I am sure
you could adapt it. This is one of those paper clip type idea that is very
simple but very effective!

Maybe someone else could answer the size question, I do not know.

Thanks Jim,

I guess I need to get my father's coach next to mine and compare generators.
The muffler is probably farther forward just due to the smaller size of the
4kw unit. I don't having the "little Onan" 'cause it gives me about twice
the usual free space in the generator compartment.

That should have been:

I don't mind having the "little Onan" 'cause
it gives me about twice the usual free space
in the generator compartment.

Need more coffee!

Nate,

No, it is very simple. All you need is a tin duck that attaches to the
output opening under the generator that is about 12" long with a 90' bend
in it to direct the hot air from the cylinder walls out to the side rather
than straight down.

I think Alex Sirum stocks them, give Jeff a call 1-941-763-1121.
