Why does the operating temperature drop???

How do you measure/tell the difference and how much of a drop are you
talking about??

The Onan deflector Ron has put together really works! I have installed
several, they are easy to put on and really drops the operating temp. of
the generator. People in Alaska may not need such a trinket but here in
Florida it should be a requirement.

Paul,

The ouput hot are is kicked out away from the unit which allows it to pick
up cool fresh air and not recycle the hot. At one of the Sunshine
Ststesmen rallys, this subject came up and Ron shared with us that he had
made these temp. tests and had found a sugnificent decrease in temp. of the
unit.

I personally have not made tests but I will tell you that there is a loe of
heat kicking away from the generator with a deflector installed.

A side benifit is that when parked on dirt, you do not stir up dust that
gets sucked up into the generator compartment, a very good thing!
