So I got on the Wix filter site and searched through the available sizes to find a filter to fit my Onan. I found one that very much matches the
original (or the one mine had, anyway) filter. The only difference

that mattered was it had a solid rubber bottom. I drilled a 1/4" hole through this and added a fender washer. It also has a foam pre-filter. The best
part of the deal was that it cost $14.99 at O'Reilly's. I

ordered it yesterday and it came in this morning. It is so much better than what was on there!

By the way, the Wix filter noted on the GMC parts interchange does not work! At least the one I got did not.

I went to Amazon and found an exact fit for the Onan filter.
Look for a bright yellow filter as it came with a yellow foam outer wrap that can be removed for cleaning.

Search for part number 793569/793685.
The UPC code on the package is 0 2484761889 1.

The price was $7.69.

I also saw a listing for two for $8.99

It fit right in with no modification to the rod. I used a larger fender washer on the bottom as the bottom was fiber or rubber instead of steel.
I had to drill a hole into the center of the bottom for the rod.

Wow! Looks just like the one I got. I just ordered two on Amazon for the $8.99, and it comes with a spark plug for a lawn mower.

Thanks for the information. Darn, I thought I had a deal there for a minute.

A total of three filters will probably outlast my ownership.

Now to replace the rubber mounts, as the starter is hitting the floor.

We used to find the rubber mounts on the Internet from a lawn mower shop but Applied GMC now carries them.
