He's not giving me an aluminum radiator he's giving me an OEM radiator for
testing.
I wanted the oil coolers out of yours to see what the pressure drop through
them was in comparison to the OEM radiator.
As I noted from the git go if you can get your aluminum radiator fixed do
so, however, the tanks on the OEM radiator are soldered on, the tanks on the
aluminum radiator are heli-arc'd on. At least the one I have here in Sydney
sure looks like it is.
I'll bet dollars to donuts to re core your aluminum radiator will cost as
much if not more than a new one.

You're closer to Rob's place than me, let him have yours and I'll see what I
can do with my aluminum one.
For the other folks, a good radiator shop can recore the originals and boil
out the coolers and end tanks. Reported prices run $400 - $700 depending
the shop and work done. Like Year One says, 'Don't cruch 'em, restore 'em'.
The 23' which departed about an hour ago and my 26' both have fresh
recores in them.
