I just tried to get to the old GMC Net forum and got nowhere. Does anyone know if it's gone forever?

Still there, but we've actually got more of the total archive online. There were three "generations" of GMCnet and we have all of them!

it is still there as of 10 minutes ago. Unfortunately they never fixed the email link on the email server.zactually i believe it is an iSP problem. But i am not sure. So those emailers are isolated. Most of the web browser people have migrated over here. Many of us monitor both.
I don't think this site has everything dating back to the beginning of the so called "GMCnet". At least when I search for something I wrote back in say 2000 it does not appear. I joined the "GMCnet" in early 1999.
The original "GMCnet" went away for good last year. The current "GMCnet" still open was just a mirror of the original started by Patrick.

This site has a virtually complete copy of GMCnet content from 1998-2022 except for a short period from late 2003 to mid-2004. The only other missing content would be anything posted to birdfeeder (the old forum) that didn't get synchronized with the email list due to recurring sync problems, and anything that was removed due to not being compliant with this forum's rules.
If you let me know what you were searching for, I'll bet I can find it!
I guess that means I might as well take it out of my bookmark line up.
It was great while it lasted and it did provide many of us valuable information when we needed it.

OK, I stand corrected. I was able to find some very early posts that I made back in 1999 about the interior renovations I made during that time. I just needed to remember what key word(s) to use in searching.
