I have had my Alcoa wheels on for about a year and a half. I had the 4 rear
wheels off about 2 weeks ago to do some minor break work done, and they came off
easy.

the minor clean-up begins)

Ever since I worked at the railroad (geez, over 25 years ago) and saw them
use Neversieze by the gallon I use a dab on things like lug nuts and caliper
pins. A small bottle or can is a lifetime supply. My luck there has been
great. That's just what I do (hmmm... where have we heard that).

As far as beer goes, if you haven't tried Boulevard Wheat Beer from
Boulevard Brewing Co. in KC ,do so. You'll be thoroughly impressed. They
sell it like crazy in Omaha establishments with a lemon twist (yuppy style,
I guess). Even saw it the other day in Albertson's and it is by far and away
the best I have ever had. If you don't like it I'll give you my address to
send what's left!

Nate '75GB (BTW... my coach survived Floyd @JB's) Omaha

PS. Looking forward to the Omaha GMC get-together this Sunday. Sounds like
there will be 10 or so of us there. It's 1-4pm at Design Plastic at Keystone
Drive and Evans Street if anyone is interested. Wish my coach was here...
I'll just have to ride the "Bad Boy" 8-)

On the beer thing I do like Sam Adams------but I also like that Steam
beer from San Fran. Depends on my mood and food.

Not with Alcoas, but the first time I tried to pull the factory alloy wheels
off my Cherokee(which originally came from Maryland), I got a big suprise.
I had to insert a 2 x 4 between the brake drum and wheel and pry ever so
gently to get the wheels loose. After reading Rick Staple's post about
driving around the parking lot with loose lugs trying break wheels loose,
I'm glad mine were that easy. I cleaned wheel and hub with Scotch-brite and
liberally applied anti-seize to the center surface before re-installing.
