Ever since I read all the info on the attached web site about filters
there has been no question in my mind about which ones are clever
marketing ploys and which ones are the ones I'm going to use.

Regarding synthetic oil, one of the sources of a series of tech

Jims a real down to earth guy! For all you ex-racers & Nostalgia guys,
Jim dug up an old turboniques catalog. I printed a photo and took it to
the owner/operator of GES engineering here in San Diego and asked him if
he knew what it was. his response was, "Yeah, that's one of those
turbonique deals, used to go like hell". If you'd like to see photos

Man, I'm glad someone else remembers that trick rear-end! Lord, how I wanted
one for my 59 BelAir (I was 16---can you imagine?) I'm sure it woulda killed
me...
