I am somewhat ashamed to say this but I have used whatever filter is on
sale (I also buyest the cheapest gasoline!) and one time I bought 6
Target brand filters for 80 cents each when they were on the bargain
counter. I have used AC, Fram, Wix, et al and still change oil and filter
together every 3,000 miles.

270,000 miles on engine @1
300,000 miles on engine #2

I was the one that posted the web site a couple of days ago that cut oil
filters apart to examine them. Thought it would generate some discussion
among the netters.

Like Dave and others, I buy whatever is on sale. I've only had one filter
blow in my vehicles over the years, that was a Motorcraft in a hotrod VW
Kharmann Ghia racing on the freeway many moons ago (8000 rpm cutoff).
Probably a stuck relief valve.

Change those filters!! Grin.

My 2=A2 FWIW

As always, best regards.
