>1. Do those of you that believe in Mobil 1 like the 10-30W,
>15-50w, or a half & half mixture since I can't find 10w-40w?

I'm having good results with 15-50

>2. Is the Mobil 1 oil filter really better than the Fram or
>AC or others? If so what is a good part number?

That's the consensus of the group but I've never tried one yet. Auto Zone
didn't have one when I needed it.

>3. What are name brand oil filter numbers that fit the GMC
>455 for '77? What is number of the large capacity Napa?

The large capicity oil filter is NAPA 1794 but you must first make a
conversion to a remote filter mount -- readily available at NAPA and a
no-brainer to install.

I've been running 15-50 myself this year (approx 7500 miles). I
won't tell you about the reduction in consumption because no one
would believe me anyway !
