Oil filter cooler

Hi all,

I have a leak at the oil filter cooling adapter(gasket @ top) above the spin
on filter, Is this a common gasket that you can get at any auto parts store?
Guess my setup is of stock design.
Tranny temp update with new pan/sender & old 3-tube cooler with sin blend
oil.Could not take normal test route (road work lots of traffic). Out temp
was about 25' cooler, Pan temp ran between 130-170... Mostly stayed below
the 140 mark. When pan temp did climb it came back down quick after load was
off, which out temp did not seem to follow as quickly?

Ron,
That is the same gasket (rubber o-ring) that come on your oil filter. I
always save the gasket when I change the filter and every 3rd or 4th oil
change I remove the adapter and change the gasket. Takes an 1 1/4"
socket and about 5 min. to do.

Thanks Arch, John and Emery,

The parts store told me the same thing, But looking at it,it seems to have
a paper gasket, Well I have a filter so I'll remove and replace. Thanks
again for the info!!!!
