G'day,

I use Microsoft Outlook 2003 for my emails and intend to do so until I'm no
longer around - read DEAD!

Unfortunately when I send a message in Plain Text the right margin is set to
6.4 inches which is driving me nuts as it adds a carriage return breaking
URL's.

I Googled "Setting Margins in Word 2003" and following the instructions I
reset the margins to Left = 0.500 in and Right = 0.500. Paper is set to A4
which works fine when I send HTML messages, however, Outlook resets the
right margin to 6.4 inches in Plain Text.

Anybody got any suggestions OTHER THAN use a different email program.

THIS OLE DOG AIN'T INTERESTED IN LEARNING NEW TRICKS! :-)

Don't worry about it Rob.

There will always be a URL long enough that your mail client will split it apart on you, no matter how long you set your line length.

Folks here just need to get the hang of restitching them.

Rich,

You're the man!

I followed the instructions in the link you sent me and played around with other settings for email and it looks like it was
successful!

I've set the font to Arial - 12 pt as it is easier to read than 10 pt.

One solution may be to set the font for the URL only to 6 point Times, if
your email client allows that.
