Number of axels

Is it true about litigation about two vs three axels in California? This argument has been going on for 30 years that I know of. The difference in tolls and annual registration costs is enormous here in the NE. Bridge toll across the Delaware is $12 vs $1.50. for example. Turnpike could be $35 difference. Registration $80 difference.
If someone has already litigated it , getting the DMV puppets to accept it is easy. Seems like our association should put getting copies of this litigation on the website ASAP and should be handed out with the other info sent to members.

Life is too short to hold a grudge; slash some tires and call it even !

Sometimes, we reap what we sow. At face value, privately owned and
constructed roads and bridges, etc. seem to make sense initally. East of
the mississippi, distances are shorter than out west. But, the tolls seem
to go on forever. Out west, we use the tolls to maintain the bridges like
the golden gate. Painting goes on continously in the salt air. But, when
the revenue from tolls exceeds the costs of repairs, BIG BROTHER gets
involved. That is where it goes sideways. Money Honey. Government is always
looking for another pocket to stick their collective mitts into. This is
only one persons take on this. Your opinion might vary.

I think that the automatic sensors at the toll gates cannot figure out , so
they take the path of last resistance and charge us that way.
When I'm pulling a toad, They really hit us hard.

Philosophizing or discussing what poor technology the toll stealers have doesn't help. I have NEVER lost an appeal to EZPASS due primarily to persistence. I am an ankle bitter. This is worth up to $1000 per year to us in the NE so I will ask again. IS there really a litigated case on the number of axels on a GMC coach or is this folk law? If there is a precedence set there is no bureaucrat that is going to go against it for the few bucks they might collect from us. Just get me any reference you can find and I will get my son ( the lawyer for whom I paid the tuition) to get the specifics.
