No, it's not nessesary

Just click on the ICQ button, choose 'Add/find users', 'find user-add to
list', put a bullet in the box beside 'search by ICQ number', when the
person with the icq number is located, choose to add them to your list.

Doesn't matter. If someone sets up a GMC chat its all on the fly.

Don't have to be unless you want to.

Select the numbers (or write 'em down) Click add user, then the search, then
the "by ICQ#" tab and put them in. When the search is done, double click to
add them to your list.

> Should I go back and update for the Win98 upgrade?

If you just downloaded, you've got the most current version.

Yup, everyone who's posted a UIN number.

Only if you want to. You can get a lot of info about someone from this, so
add info 'sparingly'. IMHO

We'll probably figure it out from your e-mail address, and now that you've
give us Back Yard we'll know you when we see you.

You will only be notified if a member of your list is online. If the
person is not on your list, you will not be notified. Likewise, if your on
another person's list, he'll be notified if and when you come online. No
one else will be notified of your internet presence.

It'll be catch as catch can unless someone requests a specific time for a
'chat' session.
