Yes, it was an interesting period for GM. I wrote an article in our newsletter about the Parade of Progress from its initial start. Check out pp
8-12 here: http://www.corvetteclubsantabarbara.com/wp-content/uploads/newsletters/2016/CCSB_2016_09_SEP_newsletter.pdf Successive monthly newsletters
include the role that Harley Earl had on GM and other GM historical articles.

Great article, Ed. And in a very nice publication from an obviously very
active club.

Unfortunately like many clubs with aging members, it's getting very difficult drawing in and retaining younger members to carry the club forward. We
had a discussion of this wrinkle with the Ventura Corvette Club president at the National Corvette Museum 25th year Anniversary with the introduction
of the Mid-engine Corvette (C8). No one has managed to figure it out and many of us wonder where our club will end up in 5 years.

Anyway, I have written many GM History articles for the club newsletter over the past 4 years. I am the website administrator and newsletter
editor/publisher for our club. Feel free to navigate the "Archived" newsletters on our website located here: http://corvetteclubsantabarbara.com.

Ed,

I'm positive that our GMCMI members would love to see that article about
the Parade of Progress. Please offer it to Kim Weeks to go into our
magazine.

I will be reading more of your articles.

The younger ones are not aware of the existence of organization and if they
did, they are last to join so we can groom them to take part.
