Went to fire up the fridge today, would not light and when it did it cut out
immediately.

I found the problem. There is a small copper washer on the gas input line
that
goes to the gas orifice. It ruptured.
Anyone know of a source for that copper washer/gasket?

My temp fix will be using some Permatex Copper gasket as a sealer until I
find a replacement.

My local Autozone carries an assortment if copper washers in a box behind the counter. Some are flat and some are dished to seal on brass fittings.

I have a 8336, 3 way. So far it has been bulletproof. We had a problem
several years ago as it would not cool. We took it out of the coach, pulled
the coils, turned them upside down and whacked them with a plastic hammer.
I ran just the coils and after that they work just fine. The unit is about
25 plus years old. I have the original manuals and bill of sale from the
PO.

I have never has a problem with the eyebrow unit. I have pulled it, cleaned
it and that is about all.

I have never used that rocker switch and it has been off since I bought the
coach about 10 years ago.

I was looking at an Atwood Refrigerator Model: HE-0601 helium if I could not
get this one running.

You can take that switch apart and clean up the terminals. Then put in some dielectric grease to keep out moisture and stop corrosion.
I did this to mine and the switch worked fine afterwards.

I would think if it gets serious enough to need to repair or replace the fridge,

It may be money saving to just replace the cooling unit. You can go with gas

or electric.

Another option is to look at the low power fridges. I think they are electric

are well insulated and have special motors for the freon compressor to use

very low power.

My last choice would be to replace like for like today.

I wasn't aware that switch could be disassembled. We are talking about the mini rocker switch, right??

It appeared sealed when I pulled it. I'll have to pull it again and look closer...

A tiny broke gasket in the burner assembly wont stop me from fixing the
unit.

Update.

I could not find the part anywhere so I used Permatex Ultra Copper Gasket
sealer around the burner where the copper washer lives. I let it set
overnight and fired it off Thursday morning. It is still running fine. Not
bad for a 25+ year old fridge.

carries an inexpensive box of assorted copper washers. It probably does
not have to begin as a conical shape. But, this may be a way to make one
