Norcold 461 installation

Need help from someone who has installed Norcold 461. Removed old refrig
(Norcold 928) believe it was original. It had normal AC outlet and plug on
refrig but four yellow wires (must be 12 V DC supply) went to the old
refrig. The new Norcold 461 has normal AC plug and two wires (black & red)
for 12v DC.
what am I to do with the 4 yellow wires?? Where is the circuit that
determine which voltage the refrig will use??Is that in the base of the
refrig??Will appreciate any help from one of you who has made this change.

Emery,
Thanks for your reply. My new Norcold 461 R is a two way (12 v, DC, 120 v
AC). The four yellow wires, two pair, go into the circuitry under the old
refrig. All look original. Had a long conversation with John Neeper by
land line, his 461 was a gas or elect. maybe I can get some answers from
Norcold. Thanks again.

Arch,
Checked the four yellow wires, they are taped together to make two pairs.
Checked with volt meter, one pair is + the other pair is -. What I don't
understand is Why?? My son is electrical engr, he is flying up this AM to
spend day with me. Don't want to solve too much or he will think his trip
is wasted.

That's to give the wire-run extra capacity. Sometimes used instead of one
big wire. Two smaller are more flexible, etc. etc.
