Nor Cal Smog?

Hi to all you GMCers out there!
We are looking at a 77 GMC currently in Nevada but will be bringing it to Northern California.Does anyone have experience with passing smog certification?We live in a county that will require it bi-annually and it's 2 years too new to be exempt.
Or if it's carburetor system could be improved or an injection system added, if not?
Thanks so much for any info you can help with,we would love to have this cool Coach but if we can't pass smog we are out of luck.

Take it to Applied GMC. They can tune it correctly so it will pass,

Many of the coaches have passed with ease. If the NV folks took smog parts off, they will have to be replaced to pass the "visual" portion of the
test. I don't know of any fuel injection that has passed the CARB requirements for a GMC Motorhome, so that is out of the question. Atomic fuel
injection has a CARB Executive Order for autos and pickups. Unfortunately, this leaves us in a pickle.

The FI situation is why I restricted myself to 75 or earlier, I have a 73
now. California is the only state this is an issue.

Or you can do the diesel conversion, never smoked again (but, rather an
expensive solution for this issue....).
