My wife used to have one and said that if I get an Isetta, she wants a
Corvair.

Double Dittos

I had two Corvairs---a '61,4-door Monza, 4-speed and a '62 Convertible. Loved
those cars. Ralph Nader ("Unsafe at Any Speed") is a blooming idiot for running
them off the road. Wish I had another. Would make a great TOAD.

Tom, In regards to the security of a cable modem there is a free
firewall available as mentioned on the net earlier and you can use
server software with NAT technology that blocks access if you use
multiple PC's. There is a free site that will check your security with a
non-invasive probe. After monthly checks of my home network I am still
pretty secure no detected penetrations to-date.

As a former VW owner(10), Corvair (1), and Porsche owner I read the
biography of Dr Ferdinand and Ferry Porsche. A fact not often published
is the Corvair was designed by Dr. Porsche for GMC. Perhaps the
execution of the design didn't quite translate to the utilitarian
quality of the VW's. My Corvair while faithfully maintained locked up
the transaxle at 60 mph
at around 60K miles. The handling in that situation was frightening to
say the least. Back to the VW's after that.

Boy thats not how I remember it. I had a new 1963 VW that I paid $1595
for
and it was superior in every way to the corvair that I also had. The VW
paint was far superior. Maintenance was almost non existant for the VW.
It
just ran. And did it anywhere. Corvair was a nightmare as far as poor
fitting body panels, paint and mechanics. But than they are not the
same cars.

Those of us that receive the Digest cannot delete "Non-GMC Posts" so
I,
for one, hope posts without GMC content of some kind are kept to a
minimum
as they have been.

Al,
I'm also one of those. I admit to using the scroll arrow to bypass
those posts that I don't feel apply to me at the time. I can only
accomplish one project at a time and there's some stuff I'm just not
interested in so I bypass those. Unfortunately, like others, sooner or
later I get around to needing some of the info I scrolled past.

But it didn't know how to replace THINK WITH THING!!!!!!
