Just whining about my day so far. From the you thought you had it bad
dept.
Doing some last minute running around this morning before leaving
on holidays tomorrow morning. Raging snow storm going on. Of course
when you are in a hurry traffic crawls. Switch to the backroads. First
mistake. Slid through a curve, didn't stay on the road. Ended up parked
across the railway tracks where no crossing exists. Tore the front end
out of the van. Called a tow truck. You think it is easy getting a tow
truck in a snow storm. 2 hrs later. Vans gone for two weeks which is OK
because we are flying out of here tomorrow for two weeks. Called a cab
to get home. Lost my wallet or left it in the van. Still not sure. Hard
to pay the cab with no money. Off to the ATM. Higher cab fare. Finally
get home. Can't find my cell phone. You got it. In the cab which is who
knows where now. On hold for 10 minutes trying to get the cab company on
the phone. They have my phone. A stroke of luck. We'll see. Maybe it
will all be better this time tomorrow as I relax on a beach in Hawaii.
It certainly couldn't get any worse. I don't believe I said that. Touch
wood 100 times.
Talk to you all when I get back. E-mail all orders till April 28. Back
then. And it is still snowing. Oh joy oh joy. Darren

Two ways to look at this:

1 good time to get out of town.
2 things are going bad don't go.

I like number 1---- good luck and have a very good time

Hmmm, is this the same Darren Paget that was yakking about how great the
weather had been in his corner of Canada this past winter?

Enjoy Hawaii!

Great story... hope that is the last chapter of the book and not the first
chapter. Have a great time and talk to you when you get back.

Hey. I never said it was good all year here. We have had snow at least once
every month at one time or another. Going to a balmy 10 f. here tonight.
Looking forward to a flight out of Dodge.
Oh yeah. Broke my new bike and can't take it to Hawaii because the box they
gave me is too small. Got my cell phone back but it doesn't work any more,
and now the kids are crabby. This has got to be the worst day I have had
ever. And I mean that. Tomorrow can only be better. By the way. Thank you
to all. Counter on my site now over 3000. I guess today isn't a total
loss. Darren

Has anyone had experience ordering from Harbor Freight Tools? Good or bad.

Private response please to
rblack

TIA,
Roger

Pretty good service. Off brands mediocre-good quality. Just got a set of hole
saws 2-1/2"-5" diameter for about 6 bucks. Cut holes for new speakers and some
3" duct. Basic Tiawan stuff.

How long does it take them to ship? Their Customer Service(?) won't answer
my email requests.

Thanks,
Roger

Harbor Freight has pretty good prices and SOME quality stuff. Most of
the bargain items are not very good quality. Their free shipping comes
motor freight, which can take some time. But they do offer other
shipping options.
