I have a cousin that needs help. He recently won the State of Texas
Autoharp Championship. Included in his prize was a opportunity to compete
in the international festival held in, where else, but Winfield, Kansas.
Only problem is there is no place to stay there and especially on such short
notice. There is room on the festival grounds for motor homes. Hence the
GMC connection.
He, a retired fireman, and his wife, my real cousin, are looking for a motor
home to rent or steal to be used as a hotel in one place. Both non-smokers
and in their mid 60's. They are from Shreveport, LA, and will pick up on
the way to Kansas. No other driving, just to the festival, set up home
base, then back. Their plans now are to go via Dallas then north. This
could be changed to AR or other routes as necessary.
Current itinerary would be set up on Sep 15th, festival through the 19th,
then back.
Any help for this would be really appreciated. Even if you know someone
else or even an SOB. Wife is hard of hearing like me and needs a place
with a/c as she does not attend the meetings due to her hearing loss.
