Non GMC : Vinyl cleaner required

Netters

I have a seat here with a rough vinyl surface that I cannot figure out how
to clean.
I went through the following steps and nothing seems to remove the unknown
staining that looks like a combination of mold/mildew and general dirt to
me.
1) Dish detergent and small brush...nope
2) Spray 9, an other wise excellent vinyl cleaner...nope
3) Comet with a toothbrush in a small area...nope
4) Resolve...generally an excellent carpet cleaner...nope
5) Javex/Clorex..on a small area...didn't make any difference

ANY suggestion would be appreciated

I've been using the product "30 Seconds" for many cleanup tasks - it's AMAZING stuff and readily available in Canada:

Let it soak briefly - then scrub and/or rinse.

Test a small area first!

Another thing to try — Spray-n-Wash laundry stain spray. It’s a slimy product that you just slather all over the vinyl and let sit for 15+ minutes. We then scrub with an old electric toothbrush and rinse with water.

It does a great job at lifting the dirt out of the grain, it won’t hurt most surfaces, and you might already have it on hand at home.

My experience has been that the be-all and end-all of water-based cleaners is Super Clean. Available at Walmart, follow the instructions on the gallon
container. Really thins the water down to get under and then flush out the dirt. You can stand one hand washing with it per day without damage and
they will be REALLY clean. Notice how long it takes for the water to evaporate from your hands. Don't do it twice in less than 12 hours or you'll
clean off the dead outer layer that protects the rest of the skin underneath 8o . Won't kill ya but makes it real tight for a few hours. Gloves
recommended for any cleaning project lasting longer than 5 minutes. It will rinse very clean and is biodegradable and not aromatically repulsive to
humans. Don't get the concentrate on dry paint or non-hardened skin (face, belly, bottom of arm). Wet paint is fine and will get really clean but will
need to be waxed afterward as Super Clean will take off the dead outer layer and any wax. It will streak dry paint if it drips, so use a dollar-store
sprayer to apply uniformly, just like other cleaners.
I always try Mr.Clean first to clean most things, my dad liked to clean the vinyl with Top Job in a quart of water and a small soft brush (because
of the grain in the 1967 vinyl really latched onto the dirt). Super Clean was required to get an ink line from a ball point pen, but otherwise
Mr.Clean has kept it clean without damaging the vinyl.
If Super Clean won't get it clean, you have witnessed the evolution of the plastic product due to the environment, and may be able restore it
without it becoming sticky, but I haven't had the experience of the best product for that yet.

I use a product called Krud Kutter for ALOT of things. I wouldn't hesitate
to try it on our seats. Its available at Menards. I only use the one that
comes in a gallon container. Use it full concentrate. The smaller spray
bottles come with 10% cleaner and 90% water. Get the gallon jug. Works
great for carpet/upholstery cleaning, removes oxidation from paint,
de-grease engines..... Favorite multi-use cleaner.

I agree with Terry on using Super Clean. I've been using it for years. It was originally made by a company called Castrol. It comes in a purple
container, not to be confused with Purple Power and other such "purple" products. It's about $8 a gallon at Walmart and is highly concentrated. Try
to always use latex gloves, it will take the skin off :? . Used full strength, it will cut grease on an engine.
